We offer three (3) Wildland Fire academies throughout the year.

As a nonprofit we are able to offer tuition assistance to those who qualify.

We believe everyone should have access to the education and certification necessary to be qualified for employment in the forestry and fire service.

WILDLAND FIRE ACADEMY

The eight (8) week academy will be a mixture of classroom instruction and field work on Saturday/Sunday and hands on job training experience with the Future Fuels Reduction division on select weekdays. We provide the opportunity to earn the right certifications to be qualified to apply for entry level fire positions at the federal, private and seasonal municipal levels. The full cost of tuition is $2,500 however, most applicants qualify for discounted rates up to fully paid scholarships.

  • NWCG S-130 Firefighter Training

  • NWCG S-131 Firefighter Type 1

  • NWCG S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior

  • NWCG S-211 Portable Pumps and Water Use

  • NWCG S-212 Wildland Fire Chainsaws

  • NWCG S-215 Fire Operations in the Wildland Urban Interface

  • AHA CPR

  • Public Safety First Aid (Title 22)

  • HAZMAT FRA

  • Confined Space Awareness
